New Directions is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work within Additional Learning Needs (ALN) schools and specialist units across Rhondda Cynon Taf. About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work directly with pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including:
Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Complex Needs
Your role will involve providing tailored, one-to-one and small-group support to help students access the curriculum and develop essential skills. You’ll work closely with teachers and wider school staff, so strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude are key to creating a positive and supportive environment.

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who have:
A minimum of 3 months experience working with children, or
A relevant child-based qualification
Experience within care settings supporting children (also considered)
