A dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is required to work on a 1:1 basis with a secondary school pupil who requires additional support with their learning and communication. Fluency in Vietnamese is essential, as you will play a key role in supporting the pupil’s understanding and engagement by bridging any language barriers and ensuring clear communication between the pupil and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil within a secondary school environment
Support the pupil’s academic progress, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
Assist with language and communication, including translating and clarifying instructions where necessary
Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement support strategies
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Essential Requirements:
Fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken and written)
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting
A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
