Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a positive impact on the education of young learners? We are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a student in Foundation 2 at a primary school in Bromborough. This position is ongoing until the end of the summer term and is available for an immediate start.

Duration: Ongoing until the End of Summer Term

Role Overview:
– Provide one-to-one support to a Foundation 2 student, assisting with their academic and social development.
– Implement strategies and interventions to support the student’s learning needs and engagement in the classroom.
– Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for the student.
– Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with school staff and parents.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
– Ability to engage and support young learners, including those with diverse learning needs.
– Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to supporting student development.
– A proactive and collaborative attitude towards working with colleagues and supporting student progress.

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
