Job Description

New Directions Education are currently seeking committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Helsby and Frodsham. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children in their learning and helping them to reach their full potential within a positive and inclusive school environment.

The primary schools we work with in Helsby and Frodsham are welcoming and community-focused, with strong support systems in place for both staff and pupils. They are committed to inclusive education and provide a nurturing environment where children of all abilities can thrive.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Providing classroom support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Assisting with classroom preparation and resources
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
• A full driving licence and access to transport (desirable)
