Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant – Nursery – Chester – Long-Term Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded nursery in Chester. This is a long-term role starting as soon as possible.

-Requirement: Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent in Early Years)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery setting
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
  • Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
  • Helping with routines such as snack time, outdoor play, and tidying
  • Working closely with the nursery team to provide a safe and nurturing environment

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
  • A caring, calm and enthusiastic approach to working with young children

Job Specification

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
  • BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
