A primary school in Wallasey is looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support within an F2 (Reception) class.

The Role
Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in an F2 class
Supporting learning, engagement and daily routines
Assisting with early years development and play-based learning
Working closely with the class teacher and SEN staff

What We’re Looking For
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience working within EYFS
Experience supporting children 1:1 (desirable)
A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
