New Directions are looking to recruit a specialist Mathematics Teacher in for an excellent Secondary School in the Cheshire area to start in September. You will be expected to provide a stimulating and academically rigorous teaching of Mathematics up to A’ level. If you are able to cover any of the other Science subjects too that would be an advantage but not essential.
You will need to keep up-to-date with current developments
in content and methods of the subject, remaining familiar with external
examinations requirements providing additional support to other team members as
and when required.
All records should be accurately maintained as they will
contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating
to individual pupils progress.

If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced maths teacher we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) with a possible work at Key Stage 5 (KS5).
As a maths teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
