A great opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and committed Spanish Teacher to join a secondary school in Knowsley for a full-time position from September through to December. This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about languages and can create engaging lessons that encourage pupils to develop their communication skills and confidence.
The successful candidate will teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4, delivering well-structured lessons that cater to a range of abilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Spanish Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Knowsley for the autumn term. The Role
Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting content to support different levels of ability.
Develop pupils’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through a variety of effective teaching strategies.
Create an engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages pupils to participate and develop confidence using the Spanish language.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and appropriate support where required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department to deliver a consistent and effective curriculum.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic achievement throughout lessons.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has previous experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school setting.
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Modern Foreign Languages.
Can deliver creative and purposeful lessons that motivate pupils to engage with language learning.
Is confident managing behaviour and establishing positive relationships with pupils.
Is adaptable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
Requirements
References covering the previous 5 years.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Previous experience teaching Spanish across KS3 and KS4.
Availability from September through to December for the duration of the placement.
