New Directions Education is proud to be supporting a SEMH provision in Manchester that is looking to welcome a Nurture Teacher from September 2025. Working across KS3, this is a full-time, longer-term position.
The School:
Provides dedicated support for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage positively with learning, build emotional resilience, and develop appropriate coping strategies.

The Role:
Full-time KS3 Nurture Teaching role – teaching Maths, English and Science (to KS2 level)
Small class of KS3 students with SEMH, ASC needs
Working with other adults/ professionals – including outside agencies to promote the best possible bespoke support for the student and their needs
The Candidate:
Holding QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – with a background in SEMH (primary or secondary)
Experience working in SEMH schools or primary/ secondary education with learners with SEMH
