Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting Part-Time Primary Teachers for schools across Chester and the surrounding areas, offering opportunities for teachers seeking a more flexible working pattern.

These roles are ideal for qualified teachers looking for part-time work while continuing to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development. Opportunities may be available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on school requirements and your experience.

The Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
• Supporting students’ academic, social and emotional development
• Assessing and monitoring student progress where required
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting student progress
