Job Description

A small, welcoming primary school in St Helens is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. The role will continue into September, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for a Year 3 class within a supportive and close-knit school community. The school has been graded as ‘Strong Standard’ by Ofsted and is known for its strong leadership, high expectations and nurturing ethos. Pupils are well-behaved, eager to learn and take pride in their work.

The Role

• Full classroom responsibility for a Year 3 class
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
• Support pupils’ transition from KS1 into lower KS2
• Work collaboratively with parallel staff and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable)
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
• Reflective practitioner with a proactive attitude
