New Directions Education is working closely with a number of primary schools across the Wirral who are seeking experienced, confident, and compassionate Primary Teachers with a proven track record of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

Location: Wirral
Start Date: ASAP (ongoing opportunities)
Contract Type: Long-term / Short-term / Ad hoc Supply

About the Role:
You’ll be working across KS1 and KS2 classes, supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional and behavioural support. These schools are looking for teachers who can combine high expectations, empathy, and consistency to create positive, structured classroom environments.

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience working with pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs
– A calm, patient, and restorative approach to classroom management

Job Specification

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
