Job Description

Do you have experience working with children or pupils who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? Are you able to support children in reaching their full potential?

New Directions Education is proud to work with a new Primary School in Northwich, which currently has a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs in their Learning Resource Base.

The pupils are aged between 5 and 11 years, and we are seeking a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis to nurture and support them, helping each student achieve their best.

We’re looking for individuals who are committed, career-driven, flexible, and versatile, with the confidence to follow a plan and also work independently when needed.

The hours are 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Due to the needs of the pupils, it is essential that you can commit to these hours until July 2025. If you feel you have the skills and qualities required for this role, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Job Specification

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment
  • An excellent track record
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
