Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in Sefton. This is a great opportunity for teachers who are looking for flexible work and want to build valuable experience in a variety of school settings.

Whether you’re an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain hands-on classroom experience, or an experienced teacher seeking more flexible working arrangements, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

  • Work on a day-to-day or short-term basis in primary schools across Sefton, covering EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on your skills and preferences.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Adapt to a variety of school environments, including those with high numbers of EAL pupils and children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
  • Receive support from a dedicated consultant who will match you with schools that suit your experience and availability.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Passion for teaching and a flexible, positive approach to new environments.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Recent, relevant references covering the last 5 years.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
