New Directions is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bootle to appoint a dedicated Trainee Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education and gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive school environment. We have a range of FREE CPD training courses, from Safeguarding to Autism Awareness, which will teach you the relevant skills and attributes necessary for supporting children in our schools.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils to support learning, encourage pupil engagement, and help maintain a positive and nurturing atmosphere throughout the school day. Full guidance and ongoing support will be provided, making this role ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and eager to develop their skills in education.
The Role
• Have excellent communication skills.

• Support pupils in accessing a personalised curriculum tailored to their individual needs

• A background within Care sector or child like environment
• Is confident in managing challenging behaviour in a patient and proactive manner
• Demonstrates resilience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils
