Job Description

We are a trusted education staffing provider, working with a variety of mainstream primary schools across Flintshire and North Wales. Our mission is to support schools by providing qualified and passionate teaching assistants to cover short-term and long-term absences, helping to maintain continuity in the classroom and support students’ learning.
We are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team. If you have a passion for working with children and enjoy the flexibility of working in different school settings, this is the role for you!

Role Overview:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work in a range of primary schools, providing support to class teachers and pupils in various settings. You will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of lessons, supporting individual students or small groups, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose when and where you work, while gaining experience across multiple schools and classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Support students with academic tasks, promoting engagement and learning.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Support the creation of a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Help with the preparation and organization of classroom materials.
Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement.
Adapt to different school environments and work with various teaching styles.
Follow safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of children at all times.

About You:
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential).
Flexible, adaptable, and able to quickly adjust to different school settings.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A positive, patient, and caring attitude.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
