Job Description

New Directions are looking to appoint a Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher to work in highly reputable schools in the Builth Wells and surrounding areas. This role is a perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about working in the education sector and must be able to use a variety of teaching techniques to be adaptable to a variety of classroom environments.

You will have a dedicated Account Manager who will be there to provide you with support and guidance to find the perfect job for you. The successful candidate will be able to have total flexibility over their workload, having the choice to choose the days you work.

A professional attitude is important, where you will be required to abide to the school policies and dress code. You will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council and happy to adhere to New Directions compliance procedures.

Job Specification

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum 
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
