New Directions are currently recruiting for a Class Teacher to join a fantastic Primary SEN school on a maternity cover basis.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring and resilient teacher to join a supportive SEN setting working with primary-aged pupils with a range of complex needs.
The school supports children with profound and multiple, severe and moderate learning difficulties, with almost half of pupils also having a diagnosis of autism.
The Role
As the Class Teacher, you will:
Lead and manage a designated class, working closely with classroom support staff.
Plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning based around individual pupil needs.
Monitor and assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and other specialist professionals.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Support pupils to develop their confidence, independence and life skills.
