We are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant to work within a range of schools across Anglesey. This is an excellent opportunity for a fluent Welsh speaker who is committed to supporting pupils’ learning and development while promoting the use of the Welsh language within the classroom.
Working on a supply basis, you will have the opportunity to support pupils across a variety of primary school settings, assisting with classroom activities, providing learning support and helping to create an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, using Welsh confidently to encourage communication, participation and language development.
We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants and candidates with relevant transferable skills who have a strong command of the Welsh language and a genuine passion for education. Excellent communication skills, patience, flexibility and a proactive approach are essential for this role. Previous experience working within a school setting is desirable.

Your responsibilities will be to support the teacher in delivering lessons and activities in a safe and engaging manner, assisting in the preparation of lessons plans and learning resources and encouraging positive behaviour and supporting the teacher with classroom management.
Ideally, we ask for 3 months minimum experience working with children or have a child-based qualification. We do consider candidates who have transferable skills, this means having experience working in social care, coaching, or nursing.
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools. We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following.
We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.
