New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Part Time, Teacher to support a range of learners within a Leeds SEND provision. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an inclusive, nurturing environment that cater to learners with complex learning needs.
We want to hear from:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with children and young people with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
Strong understanding of SEN strategies, inclusive teaching practices, and behaviour management
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Creative
You will be working with learners across all phases, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. The role involves:
Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to learners
Develop and adapt resources to support a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and families
Implement EHCP targets and track/monitor pupil progress
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
