New Directions are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable SEND Student Support to join a school in Kirkby to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities.
The school is very low level behavior and enjoyable place to work. If successful, you will be required to support children who suffer with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Although the role is based around education support, due to the children’s personal needs, they require consistent mentoring, motivating as well as maintaining an empathetic approach.

Behaviors displayed by the children can be challenging so applicants must be prepared to practice De-escalation and calming techniques, as well maintaining an empathetic approach and understanding behaviors stems from other problems. candidates from care, sports, psychology, criminology, sociology and youth work backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
