New Directions are currently recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a school in Birkenhead starting in October for three days a week. The role entails working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have complex learning difficulties.
The school wishes to appoint someone who is caring, sensitive and patient Teaching Assistant who has an abundance of experience working on a 1:1 basis with a child with Special Education Needs. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENDco as well as liaise with the parents and other professionals.

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:
Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
Recent experience in a classroom environment
An excellent track record
Good knowledge of the national curriculum
Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
