We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across schools and specialist provisions in Wakefield.

The Role
Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, learning difficulties, and SEMH
Support learning, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils with routines, transitions, and daily activities
About You
Caring, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting children
Confident, committed, and able to build positive relationships
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of individual learners
SEN experience preferred but not essential, a care background could be an alternative
Requirements
Experience or strong interest in working with children or young people
Willingness to undertake training, including safeguarding
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
