We are currently seeking an experienced SENCO for a secondary school in Leicester.
The successful candidate will oversee SEND provision within the school, ensuring pupils with additional needs receive appropriate support and access to learning opportunities.
Key responsibilities
Coordinating SEND provision across the school
Managing EHCP processes and annual reviews
Supporting teaching staff with SEND strategies and interventions
Liaising with parents, staff, and external agencies
Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
Applicants should have:
Previous experience within a SENCO or senior SEND support role
Strong knowledge of SEND processes and legislation
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
The National Award for SEN Coordination, or willingness to complete this within 3 years of appointment
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire Pay: £200 – £300 depending on experience Hours: Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available
