Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across primary schools throughout Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and making a positive impact in different school settings.

We work closely with a wide range of welcoming and inclusive schools across the city, supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds, including a high proportion of Pupil Premium learners.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, following school planning or your own where required.
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment that promotes good behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings, routines, and expectations.
  • Support pupils’ academic progress while encouraging confidence, independence, and positive attitudes to learning.
  • Provide feedback to school staff at the end of each placement.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in UK primary schools is desirable.
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident managing different classroom environments.
  • Strong behaviour management and a child-centred approach to learning.
  • Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide employment references covering the last 5 years
