Job Description
New Directions Education are currently recruiting Teaching and Learning Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Chester. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development.
The Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
Helping to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
A supportive, patient, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in education
A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
