Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are currently recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants for a variety of roles across primary and secondary schools in the Bridgend area.
These opportunities involve working closely with pupils who require additional support due to learning difficulties, behavioural needs, or emotional and social challenges. You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils reach their potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with ALN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
Work alongside teachers and ALNCOs to deliver personalised support plans
Foster a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
Build positive relationships with pupils to support their academic and emotional development
Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, specifically in ALN or 1:1 roles
Understanding of additional learning needs and strategies for support
Calm, patient, and empathetic nature
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, Autism Awareness) are desirable
