New Directions Education are proud to work with a school within the Bridgend who specialise in working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs with an excellent reputation. Pupils are aged between 3-19 years of age and we’re looking for a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis to help nurture and support pupils, helping them achieve to the best of their abilities.
We’re looking for people who are committed, career-driven, flexible, and versatile with the confidence to work to a plan and with their own initiative.
The hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. Due to the needs of the pupils, it is essential you can commit to these hours until July 2025. If you feel you have the skills and criteria for this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting students with additional learning needs to achieve their full potential.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to implement individualised learning strategies.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to students in various subjects and activities.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
Enthusiasm for the role and dedication to working with students with additional learning needs.
Enhanced DBS clearance, registered with the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
