Job Specification
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored, nurturing support to children with SEN in Secondary settings.
Assist with planning, delivering, and assessing learning activities aligned with the curriculum.
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to develop communication, social interaction, and self-regulation skills.
Support the creation and implementation of individual learning plans and contribute to EHCP reviews.
Foster independence and social development during indoor and outdoor activities.
Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to assessments and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience in Secondary schools or SEN settings.
Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic behaviour support.
Training in Team-Teach or other recognised behaviour intervention methods.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting emotional well-being.
