Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting early learning and helping young children thrive in their first years of education.

The Role:

  • Support teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom, helping to deliver engaging, play-based activities.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children, including those with additional needs.
  • Assist with daily routines such as phonics, outdoor learning, creative tasks, and continuous provision.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to help assess progress and maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school ethos and EYFS team.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Available full time, Monday to Friday.
  • Passionate about early years education, with a warm, patient, and caring approach.
  • Confident supporting children of varying abilities and engaging them in hands-on learning.
  • Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if necessary.
  • Able to provide employment references covering the last 5 years.
