As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, working closely with class teachers, ALN Coordinators and other professionals to deliver personalised learning strategies. You’ll support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, encourage independence, and help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child can flourish.

Your responsibilities will be to support the teacher in delivering lessons and activities in a safe and engaging manner, assisting in the preparation of lessons plans and learning resources and encouraging positive behaviour and supporting the teacher with classroom management.
Ideally, we ask for 3 months minimum experience working with children or have a child-based qualification. We do consider candidates who have transferable skills, this means having experience working in social care, coaching, or nursing.

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.
