New Directions Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school in the Aberystwyth area.
To be considered you will need to have a background working with children or display transferable skills from previous roles – Sports Coaching, After School Clubs, Care work, Customer Service etc. Welsh speaking is advantageous but not essential for this role.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
