New Directions Education is looking to recruit Primary Class Teachers.
We are working with a large number of schools in Torfaen and are keen to meet new teachers in anticipation for this term.
The ideal candidate for the positions that we have on offer will be able to provide a quality teaching experience for all children and bring high level of enthusiasm to help children engage with all subject areas.
The appointed teacher will be adaptable and organised; ensuring that on arrival to a school you have resources available in case of emergencies or sickness cover where work has not been set.
The appointed teacher will carry out the duties of a classroom teacher in line with school policies and practise. Having an up to date knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales is essential to provide the best possible learning experience. Being adaptable and organised will be vital, ensuring that you arrive to school promptly and have a number of resources available in the event that work has not been set.
As a teacher you are responsible for improving each child’s basic skills and Supply Teaching is a great way to gain experience in doing so. Job Specification

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum 
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
