About the Role
New Directions Education are recruiting for a Welsh Speaking School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Swansea. This is a full-time position ideal for a motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, a quick learner, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and visitors. Fluency in Welsh is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the school leadership team and wider staff.
Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and visitor enquiries.
Maintain accurate pupil and school records.
Assist with attendance monitoring and data entry.
Prepare correspondence, reports, and general school documentation.
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.
Liaise effectively with parents, pupils, and external agencies in both Welsh and English where required.
The Ideal Candidate
Fluent Welsh speaker (written and verbal).
Previous administration experience, ideally within an educational setting.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Confident using Microsoft Office applications and school administration systems.
Professional, approachable, and able to work independently.
An outgoing personality with a positive attitude and willingness to learn quickly.
