My account managers are Rebecca and Chris and I have worked with New Directions since 2011.

My relationship with Becky is amazing. I have not always been given work by Becky but in the last year or so that I have my experience of working with the agency has improved incredibly. She is very good with communication and keeps me up to date with everything, even if it’s just a call to say that she is still looking for work for me for that week. She is much more friendly than any other person I have worked for before and makes me feel at ease when speaking to her. She does not pressure me into taking on any work that I don’t feel comfortable with and is not abrupt if I turn work down. She is very reliable and if I have any issues or queries, I feel comfortable talking to her if I am not happy with something, which, I have not always felt. She is in regular contact and is very informative whenever she rings me.

The highlight of working with New Directions for me has definitely got to be the amount of experience I have gained and all the wonderful schools I have had the pleasure of working in. I have learned a lot about myself and a lot about how to be a better LSA. I feel I am improving everyday. Although I am yet to find full time employment, I have had several long term roles in schools that I have loved and am happy to go back to whenever they need me. Even though I attended university for three years and gained the qualifications, I feel that I have only really built and developed my skills since being part of New Directions where I have had the opportunity to go out and use what I have learned in a working environment.

We choose to use New Directions to find our long and short term cover because the account managers and the staff they send are friendly. They have made day to day work easy as Shannon frequently communicates via email and phone and always allows us to have the teachers we prefer for cover.

The only problems we have with last minute supply cover is when the teacher is late. The teacher and Shannon are always very apologetic. The highlight of using New Directions is the professional and easy service and by contacting our favourite supply teachers who we know and trust for cover.

Working with New Directions has always been positive and beneficial. My point of contact Shannon, always gives efficient service and never lets us down in finding cover for our classes. New Directions is the preferred supplier in Wales so we are confident and can rely on their processes and their teachers.

They have assisted us to find a TA for a long term position and we use their teachers to cover day to day. They ensure they send the strongest teachers for the more difficult classes.

Shannon is always friendly and frequently calls or drops in to see how we are and if we need cover. We also enjoy listening to her Australian accent.
