I would like to share my experience of working with New Directions; I started working with New Directions Education on the 21/10/2013.  Upon meeting for my initial induction, it became clear that New Directions is a company that prides itself on building relationships with their clients and candidates. I was surprised with the amount of attention to detail and also their personal touch, it became clear from the offset that it is a company I can identify with and am proud to be associated with.

From my experience of working with other agencies, I can say without any doubt that New Directions Education for me is the standout agency, the level of professionalism and personal association is second to none, I have always felt valued and supported within my role, if I ever have any queries or need to clarify anything, the staff are always helpful, patient and understanding. There is a great deal of opportunity to improve your skills and knowledge through CPD.

Throughout my time of working with New Directions Education I have had the opportunity to update my skills and attended various courses including Safeguarding, First aid, Team Teach and many more. The training for me has been outstanding. the training is delivered with attention to detail, is informative, true passion and great level of contextualisation which helps to put things into perspective, it is clear that Steve who conducted the training sessions has vast valuable experience and passion which makes courses enjoyable and informative.

Steve is keen to ensure that the needs of all trainee’s are met and all learners come away with a sense of having gained not only the qualification but also a deep level of understanding, I would recommend the courses to teachers and support staff, you can be sure you will come away feeling more confident and have gained a great wealth of knowledge.

I would sincerely like to thank my Account Manager for her efforts in finding me placements that have been fully enjoyable and my needs have met with aplomb, my Account Manger is the most passionate person I have had the pleasure of working with, always keen to go the extra mile to ensure that my placements meet my expectations, I can only conclude that you have a truly outstanding member of staff, thank you sincerely for all your effort and hard work.

I have been working with New Directions Education for some time now and I can honestly say that they are very pro active in trying to get me work as a supply teacher.

I have had a number of consultants finding me work and I must say that my current Account Manager goes above and beyond, he keeps me in the loop and try’s to have a catch up with me so we both know what is happening, whether this relates specifically to the schools I am going into or just to check how I am, this especially helped recently as I had a family crisis. He made sure I had any days off that I needed and this gave me one less thing to worry about.

I have been working for the Manchester branch of New Directions since last December.

Previously, I was a permanent teacher of Modern Foreign Languages for four years in London. I then moved to Manchester and registered with many of the big agencies, as this was my first time doing supply teaching work I felt very daunted by the prospect.
