When we had a teaching assistant telephone in sick late one morning we contacted our account manager to arrange cover. As always she was very helpful and promised to call back as soon as she was able to find a suitable member of staff. We use New Directions as our first point of contact as the staff are always efficient, helpful and friendly and endeavour to resolve our staffing issues as soon as possible. She is especially friendly and knowledgeable and is certainly one of the main reasons that we use New Directions,

Nicola – Teacher from Bridgend
I have been employed by New Directions for about 10 years. During my time with the company I have worked with several managers. I have worked with Annie now for about 5 months. When she first started she contacted me immediately to introduce herself and to get to know me as a teacher, my specialities, experience and work patterns.
I receive consistent work so am now able to solely work for New Directions. Annie is very approachable and helpful. She is always professional and if I have any questions or queries I know Annie will give me clear and accurate information. She always gives me feedback after I’ve been to a new school which has made me feel a real valued member of the team.

I heard about New Directions Education through Guardian job search. The registration process was a bit time-consuming, but that is to be expected seeing as I am coming all the way from Norway. You have done a great job assisting me through the whole process. New Directions found me work immediately after I became an active cover teacher, so I am more than happy with you. Just the fact that you helped me come over from Norway and get me work here in England is outstanding.
I can sum up New Directions Education with the words; efficient, helpful and resourceful.

I have been very pleased and impressed with the level of personalised and professional service received from my Account Manager Greg. It has been an efficient, friendly and personal service which is reflected across the team. Greg has made every effort to get to know our school personally and to understand the particular skill set needed to work here. Our needs have been met even at short notice. Greg has even gone that extra mile in attending school based activities and supporting us via twitter.

After completing my PGCE, I joined New Directions in September. I have so far had a brilliant experience on supply and would recommended anyone to register to New Directions, especially graduates. Supply for me has been a great way to build experience in a variety of settings and year groups.
New Directions have been very friendly and helpful, providing mostly pre booked work as well as bookings for nearly all my available days.

Primary Teacher – working in Bridgend
I am due to start my third year of working for New Directions. Having worked for other agencies based in South Wales, I have found New Directions to be the most flexible and accommodating and reliable for finding me work. So much so that I have recommended it to several friends and colleagues. At least one of whom is now registered.
My account manager Annie is quite frankly superb. She is aware of my unusual availability and yet is still available to find me bookings in the type of school I am best suited and at a very competitive rate. She is very friendly, yet professional. Emails are always replied to promptly and queries dealt with.
On the one occasion where there was a miscommunication by a school, Annie found a quick and fair solution. I feel she represents the interests of the teacher well and understands the workings of schools. I am always surprised how much knowledge she has about individual schools. Not just the geography but timings, people and whether a teacher is suited to it. I really do enjoy our chats on the phone with talk of holidays, school concerts, West Wales, putting the world to rights and of course organising any bookings too!
Annie has gone the extra mile to ensure that my long term booking is renewed and she even renegotiated my rate, something which I hadn’t expected. Thank you.
I stay with New Directions for a number of reasons. Firstly, staffs are always able to deal with queries quickly and efficiently. I never having to chase work, it’s available when I need it.
The ease of checking timesheets, booking holiday and automatic calculations of mileage online makes things easy. I especially like how I can access payslips and my P60 online. The rules for usage of holiday and filling availability are simple.
The variety of schools used and the type of work available suits my needs. It is not assumed that you wish to work in your local area. I am not always able to take the morning phone call and my account manager always accommodates this.
Because of these and the fact that simply the vibe is calm and organised I will continue to work for New Directions.

Yes, people were very welcoming and helpful.
There is some small work that is out of my specialty field, I hope to continue to learn but I also hope to take my career in the right direction, to do art or humanities.
Laura helped me get my application through and helps me get into work even if its not my specialty as she understands how much I need to work.
Helpful, understanding and excellent comunicators

I came to New Directions at the start of the year from another agency. It is fair to say, I did not have a good opinion of agencies at this point. On meeting my Account Manager, I was put at ease immediately and felt reassured by her approachability, knowledge and experience. I find her to be very helpful and understanding with placements always ensuring I feel happy with what I have been asked to do.
During busy times, Rebecca does ensure I get work each week. Likewise, there are times I have been unavailable due to family commitments or illness and I have been able to rest assured knowing I will not be made to feel awful if I am unable to work for any reason. Whenever I have had an queries, they are answered quickly and sorted effectively. I have full confidence in knowing Rebecca will help me with any issues that may occur and provide relevant help and advice when requested.
