I have been working as a Primary teacher for 1-3 years, I have dealt with both Mari and Louise, while Mari was on maternity leave and always found both to be extremely helpful and friendly. I have worked for New Directions for around a year as a Newly Qualified Teacher. I have found them to be very supportive, professional and they have a clear understanding of my requirements. I have had regular, daily, contact with Mari and she was always a friendly voice on the phone if I needed to speak to her. I have been really pleased with the amount of work I was given. My highlight of working with New Direction was getting a full time job after being given supply work for the school.
As an NQT it was very daunting going into supply teaching, but Mari was very supportive and gave me the confidence that I was doing OK. The NQT event was really good too. I would definitely recommend new Directions to other NQTs. Also the administration side was great – website very easy to use and update time sheets. The availability page was very useful to keep track of my diary.

The company has been very supportive of me as an NQT, understanding any worries I have had, giving me as much pre-booked work as possible and making sure I stay in my preferred age phase. I have had a good amount of work, and would have been able to have had more if I had been available every day.

My account manager Gemma is lovely. She is always cheerful, easy to talk to and responds when I contact her. She takes note of feedback I give and tries to place me in places I like as well as passing on feedback to me from school which has really boosted my confidence.
