New Directions Education has strengthened its presence in the Wirral and Cheshire with the appointment of two new recruitment consultants for the region.

Chris Moleson and Frank Richards have joined the New Directions team of dedicated consultants working across England and Wales to recruit and train professionals in the education sector.

Canadian-born Chris, 32, lives on the Wirral and has spent the last five years working in recruitment.  Chris has joined New Directions Education to work with primary, secondary and special schools to provide LSAs on daily and long-term placements.

Chris said: “My son was diagnosed with ASD two years ago and requires 1:1 support, which has given me an even deeper respect for education professionals working to help children reach their potential. It also makes me strive to provide schools with the best possible service, as I myself would want for my son, and I’m delighted to be joining New Directions with my own experiences in mind.”

“I understand that each school, and classroom, is different – there’s no one-size-fits-all solution within education – and through this approach will work to provide added value for both clients and staff. Anyone enthusiastic about beginning or furthering their career in education can also be assured that I will find them the best environment to utilise their skillset too.”

Frank Richards, 26, has enjoyed a successful career in customer service and entered the world of recruitment within the education industry just before the pandemic. The Wirral-born Sheffield Hallam graduate will be working with both secondary and school support desks, adding value and support to clients and candidates in both areas.

Frank said: “I’ve spent most of my working life in sales and customer service, which has formed a great foundation for my chosen path as a recruitment consultant.

I’m really looking forward to building relationships with schools locally through the provision of readily available and highly capable staff.”

Established in 1999, New Directions Education is a preferred or contracted recruitment and training supplier to more than 20 local authorities across the UK and places thousands of education staff into work every day.

Sam Piling, Branch Manager at New Directions Wirral, said the company is delighted to welcome Chris and Frank to the regional team covering Wirral, Cheshire West, Chester, Cheshire East, Liverpool, Halton and Warrington.

Sam said: “It’s fantastic to have both Chris and Frank on board as recruitment consultants here in the Wirral. Their arrival will help ensure that we recruit the best staff into the education sector at a time when schools and learners are looking to pick up the pace again as lockdown measures begin to ease.”
