Helping sick and needy children is the aim of the Mercia and Coventry Telegraph Snowball Appeal.

Since the charity began in October 1985, it has put smiles on the faces of thousands of disabled and terminally-ill children in Coventry and Warwickshire, who were able to secure vital equipment thanks to Snowball Appeal funds. Over the years a series of landmark milestones have been reached with every single penny going to the Snowball Appeal.

Thousands of youngsters and their schools have benefited from the efforts of big-hearted individuals and organisations who help the appeal raise funds. From tricycles and climbing frames to adapted wheelchairs and walking aids, Snowball money has ensured local youngsters can afford the life-improving equipment they so desperately need. This year Stephanie & Yolanda from New Directions Birmingham will be taking part in the 12 mile walk starting in Warwick and finishing off in Coventry. Not only have our candidates sponsored us we are not receiving sponsorship from many schools who benefit from this fantastic cause.
We shall look forward to seeing you all there Saturday 26th June 2011.
