Liverpool’s educational workforce networking with students from Hope University

New Directions Education Liverpool were delighted to be invited to join other local employers from a wide range of employment sectors at Liverpool Hope University for their ‘Ask the recruiters’ event.

The students attended seminars on a wide range of issues to help them with their transition into the world of work. The event was also an opportunity for students to learn more about career opportunities in the local area, as well as meeting with local leading employers who are actively seeking graduates for their jobs.

Lisa Harper, Branch Manager at New Directions Liverpool commented ‘New Directions Education is committed to building links with higher education institutions in our local communities. This event was another opportunity for us to engage with the students and help support and signpost them to their first opportunities in their chosen careers’.

New Directions Education provided students with pertinent information to help the students identify possible routes to work in the education sector. A professional guide was also available which provided tips and hints on applying for jobs and examples of how New Directions have successfully helped nurture, support and guide people in to the education workforce.

 Stuart Ash, Business Development officer at New Directions Education added ‘It was a pleasure to attend the event and meet so many students from a wide variety of courses. The students are very enthusiastic about taking their first steps towards their chosen careers, we at New Directions look forward to helping them in what is a very exciting time in their lives.
