Ellesmere Park School Builds for the Future

Ellesmere Park High School, formerly known as Wentworth High School starts the new academic year with a new name and a brand new building. New Directions Education visited the school to take a look at the fantastic new facilities. The school was officially handed the keys to open it’s doors on Monday 1st September 2014. The team spent the first few days unpacking over 3,000 boxes. Parents and students were officially welcomed to the new school on Wednesday 3rd September 2014, the students were filled with joy at the new premises.

Samantha Mellor Cover Manager, commented saying ‘It’s been an exciting start to the year for us all at Ellesmere Park High School. A new building, a new school name and a new school uniform! We have some fantastic new facilities and everywhere feels so big and spacious.

The pupils love it, saying they feel very smart and professional in their new uniform. It’s great to see them taking such pride in their environment and appearance. This has certainly been reflected in their mature attitude towards learning so far this term’.

Amanda Stothard, Senior Account Manager for New Directions said of her visit to the new campus ‘it is a really beautiful building. As I was walking around the school all the children seemed really happy and peacefully engaged in lessons. The atmosphere was divine and it was a pleasure to be invited to tour the building. I look forward to supporting the team on a ongoing basis’.

The school had OFSTED inspection in March 2014 in which they received a “good with outstanding safeguarding” report. A really positive start to the new school year.
