Tranmere Rovers Football Tournament- Round two!

On Friday 9th October 2015, 12 Wirral Primary schools will be competing against each other in the Tranmere Rovers football tournament which is being held at Weatherhead High School.

This competition has so far proven to be a huge success with teams who have already taken part doing absolutely brilliantly in delivering team spirit and skills. Jen Morrison, Primary Account Manager for New Directions Education says, ” I have no doubt this week’s games will be equally as good as the ones I watched last week. Having popped out to visit the schools who are taking part, I can definitely feel a sense of healthy competition and fun. It will be interesting to see which teams get through this week, but I will most certainly be cheering them all on.”

Some of the schools kindly provided New Directions Education with a small quote to support their schools and teams involved.

Brackenwood Junior School
” We believe in active bodies, active minds”

Fender Primary School
“We know our team will try their hardest and make the school proud of us.” – Danny Connelly, Football Coach

St Johns Catholic Junior School

” We pass better than Barcelona!” – Year 5/6 pupil
“We don’t give up, we work as a team and we are as fast as cheetahs when we are counter attacking.” – Year 5/6 pupil

New Directions Education are pleased to be working alongside Tranmere Rovers in such a great competition and supporting local primary schools. Sue Abrahams, Business Development officer for New Directions Education Wirral Branch, also went along to see some of the primary schools taking part this Friday. Sue comments “It was great to meet so many enthusiastic children and the dedicated staff who will make this tournament a great success.”
