Ysgol Trelogan were announced as winners in a country wide competition held by Eisteddfod Yr Urdd to decorate the school to Welcome the Eisteddfod to Flintshire.

The school got together to take part in the competition, the school council then got involved along with the gardening club. The work soon spread which led to the community and parents who all got involved to make the school look fantastic.

The Eisteddford Yr Urdd has not been in Flintshire since 1984.

Mrs Heulwen Sharp, Deputy Head Teacher said “We are very grateful to the whole school and the community for their input, it was a great effort from everyone. We have been super busy transforming the front of the school, it looks great!”

“We are delighted that Ysgol Trelogan have won this competition, the schools look wonderful and it’s lovely to hear the community got involved.” Shannon and Sophie at New Directions Wrexham.
