Job Description

New Directions is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department at a thriving and inclusive secondary school based in Liverpool for the full academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Design and Technology teaching across KS3–KS4, engaging students in a hands-on curriculum that promotes independent thinking, technical skills, and real-world application.

As a D.T Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
  • Maintain discipline.
  • Lesson Planning and overseeing parents evenings
  • Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
  • A strong academic background D.T or related discipline
  • To deliver religious education lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 16 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.

The Successful D.T Teacher must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience Of Teaching D.T
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Able to provide Referees.
  • An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Passionate about teaching D.T
