New Directions Education is seeking a passionate and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Sefton. This full-time role is perfect for someone who loves working outdoors and is enthusiastic about supporting early learning through play, exploration, and nature-based activities.

The Role:
Support teaching and learning within the EYFS setting, both indoors and outdoors, with a strong emphasis on play-based, nature-focused activities.
Assist with Forest School sessions and help facilitate outdoor exploration, including mud kitchens, sensory play, and practical problem-solving activities.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children, including those with additional needs.
Work closely with the class teacher to contribute to planning, assessment, and maintaining an engaging environment.
Encourage children’s curiosity, independence, and confidence in a safe, stimulating setting.
The Ideal Candidate:
Must hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Available full time, Monday to Friday.
Passionate about outdoor learning, nature-based education, and supporting EYFS development.
Warm, patient, and proactive, with the ability to engage children in hands-on, exploratory learning.
Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if required.
Able to provide employment references covering the last 5 years.
