Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of KS1 learning and development? We’re currently recruiting for passionate and dedicated TAs to support primary schools across the Wirral.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with phonics experience and a good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, who can confidently support children with their learning and development.
About the Role
Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1
Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team
Supporting children with their reading, writing and maths
Helping deliver and reinforce phonics sessions
Working with individuals and small groups where required
Supporting pupils to develop confidence and independence
Encouraging positive learning behaviours
Creating a nurturing, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within KS1
Phonics experience and knowledge is highly desirable
A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum
Experience supporting reading, writing and maths would be beneficial
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Confidence working with children of different abilities
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
