Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND? We’re currently recruiting for passionate TAs to work across SEND support roles within primary schools on the Wirral.
Opportunities are available within dedicated SEND bases as well as mainstream primary settings, supporting children with a range of additional needs.
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with full-time availability, as consistency and routine can be incredibly important for children with SEND.
About the Role
Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
Working within dedicated SEND bases and mainstream primary classrooms
Providing 1:1, small-group and classroom support
Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and development
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships
Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment
Providing consistent support and familiar routines for pupils
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is highly desirable
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA or within a school setting
A caring, patient and nurturing approach
Good understanding of the needs of children with additional needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to remain calm, consistent and positive
Full-time availability is preferred to provide consistency for pupils
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers and achieve their potential
