New Directions Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Religious Education Teacher to work in a secondary school in Knowsley, supporting pupils from a range of backgrounds, including a high proportion of Pupil Premium learners.

The Role:
• Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 provision.
• Support pupils in understanding key RE concepts, ethical issues, and philosophical enquiry.
• Beneficial experience covering KS4 objectives such as GCSE Ethics, Religion and Life, and Religion, Peace and Conflict, and KS5 objectives including philosophy of religion and ethical theories.
• Plan engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, tolerance, and respect for diverse beliefs.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting is desirable.
• Strong understanding of strategies to support Pupil Premium students and close attainment gaps.
• Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service, if not already done.
• Must have employment references covering the last 5 years.
