New Directions Education are recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a successful and dynamic Science Department in a secondary school based in Wrexham.
The successful candidate will need to be able to produce and deliver engaging lessons throughout KS3, KS4 & KS5 in Biology – there will be times where you’ll need to teach planned lessons in Chemistry & Physics also. Planning and marking is required for this role so a thorough understanding of the national curriculum is essential.
This role is based on a full timetable.

As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
